04 September 14 - GoPro Best Pictures

Im sure you've heard of these new action cameras called GoPro. They are tiny cameras packed with extremely high specifications. In order to get the best photo booth experience for all of our guests we have bought one of these special little cameras to create fantastic videos to keep on our website.

We're bored of watching these slide show videos of pictures taken over the course of the evening & would much rather watch some real action of what really went on. Its our chance to see exactly what we can capture at a photo booth hire to show you how amazing our Green Screen Photo Booths are.

We've gone for the top spec GoPro Hero 3+ Black & after searching around we found outselves a cracking little deal off eBay. They usually retail for £350 brand new from the official go pro website. With an hour behind the computer we managed to knock off £100 and bag a bargain for £250 for our brand new in box go pro.

A couple of day waiting & now we are presented with our Go Pro in this very shoddy box. Now, we don't know what happens at courier services but we expect a 5 a side football match takes place with the small parcels as they are about to leave the depot. After opening our squashed Amazon box im relieved to tell you that it wasn't in 1000 pieces.

We are new to this editing scene & will try to make some great videos for everyone to watch so keep your eyes pealed on the home page. We'll soon replace our picture slide show with something more entertaining (as much as we love the lego men). For future reference, if your in our photo booth & you see a flashing Go Pro inside... Make sure you you get some great photos!

After messing around with the picture quality we found that 1080P is a must when recording a video. 720p should only be used when trying to save space i'd imagine. As we are trying to get the best video quality we'll go with 1080p for all our videos. The next setting we loved was the lens size. The new go pros give you the option of choosing a wide angle that gives you a wider picture. This does look fantastic but would probably take some getting used to. Switching from Wide lens to normal lens might look strange when editing a video so to start we'll stick with the medium shots.

This might be new on the Go Pro 3, but you're able to chose 60 FPS when you can record with a higher quality video so you can slow the footage down when editing (which is great to play around with).

As we are first time go pro owners, we haven't really used any other models & from what we've seen so far we are really quite impressed. So if anyone is looking to buy a Go Pro - we highly recommend our one!
